It is almost time again for the New Year’s Resolution. I would have to say the most common resolutions are pertaining to health. More specifically diet, exercise, losing weight, stop smoking etc. Make your resolutions be more than just a good idea. You don’t need more to worry about. Before establishing your final resolutions I recommend that you try to originate them from your innate wisdom rather than from your educated mind. Have the resolutions impact you globally and affect your whole mind and body. As I work with people to help them establish a better connection between their mind and body via their nervous system, the process of healing occurs, the process of becoming whole. Along with symptomatic relief something even more powerful happens, they feel their body and become more able to access their innate wisdom, their inner voice. With this greater connection comes the possibility of greater intimacy with oneself. It is this level of connection that enables you to know what is really going on behind those aches and pains. As you work up your resolutions consider the following questions.
What are your greatest health concerns? It is not so much the symptom or health condition that really concerns a person but how this condition is going to impact their life. When the elbow pain begins to affect the golfer’s game is when he has concerns and seeks help. When the health issue becomes deeper, more complex and serious so does the concern. Especially when it does not go away no matter what you do and it seems like it will last forever. As time goes by it affects your self-esteem and your ability to be in a meaningful relationship. Now what is your concern? The concern I observe with many people in their healing journey is being alone. Observing this core fear of “being alone” tells me we are meant to be in relationship. Most importantly the relationship is with yourself and at the deepest part of this fear what you find is no one is there, not even you. This experience often times is required to initiate healing and beginning the process of becoming whole. How can we have a successful relationship with other people when we cannot have one with ourselves? This is why the core essence of healing is to become more whole. Be honest with yourself, take inventory of your greatest health concerns and know there is more.
If you could have the health of your dreams one year from now, what exactly would it look like? With this question please do not fall prey to the “ I don’t want to be sick anymore” response. Would you rather be happy or just not sad? Be wealthy or just not poor? Be intelligent or just not dumb? Be healthy or just not sick? Get the idea? Be specific, have it include all aspects of your life. The health of your dreams is determined by your inner peace, love and joy more than your physical aches and pains. Very often I see people have their low back pain or headache pain get better only after they feel more inner peace. True healing happens outside of space and time. It may take a year for all the pieces to come together to where we can see the infinite intelligence orchestrating the dance. After you commit to having the health of your dreams the healing is done. It may take the rest of the year to allow for all your relationships, inside and out, to realign around your new energetic imprint. You don’t want to leave anybody behind, they want to heal too. Fortunately, healing is contagious.
If you could create the health you just described, what would your role in it be and how would you benefit? This question begins to pull you into the equation. Up to now we have been creating our vision and now it is time to put it into action. Are you ready to schedule a little extra time to exercise, take a few food supplements, get more network adjustments, alter your diet or whatever it takes to be successful? This action requires your discipline to follow through with the proper action steps. But the discipline has to be fueled by your willingness to have what you want. Be clear about how you would benefit from being truly healthy. If you need motivation visit a hospital.
What are the obstacles standing in the way of you creating the health you just described? These obstacles have one thing in common; they are a person, place or thing you use to hide the fact that you do not honor yourself. It is a matter of priorities. Notice how fast you reprioritize your obstacles to accommodate your recovery the next time you get real sick with something like the flu or a traumatic injury. Why wait for the next healing crisis? It’s always been your choice, Dorothy. Don’t use illness as an excuse to ask for love. Make the choice to put your health first just because you’re worth it.
In summary, health is a process not an event. Just like having a child is an event but raising a healthy and happy individual is a process requiring commitment and energy over time. Using drugs for symptomatic relief is an event but merging with your injured parts is a process. Invest in your health and wellness; it will yield huge returns regardless of the current interest rates or the market values. Take the first step, call us!
